“I Can Do All Things Thru Christ Who Strengthens Me.” Philippians 4:13

The Pre-k thru 2nd Grade have been working hard on verses this year. They get a new verse every other week, which gives them 2 weeks to learn the verse. On week two they have been making a craft tied to the verse in someway. There are weeks where I stare at Pinterest for hours going ‘What am I Going to do with this verse?’ With Phil. 4:13 I was not stumped at all!! This is a verse I remember from my childhood. I was just a scared little kid afraid of the dark and whatever scary thing I saw on America’s Most Wanted. (FIY I don’t think my parents knew I was watching that show.) Like any little child I would go to my mom crying and scared. My mother was a scripture warrior. With any Problem out came a verse. On those nights she would tell me to recite it over and over as I lay in bed and soon I was fast asleep trusting in the strength of the Lord. When I felt that I was done and did not have the strength to go on here she came, “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Always, always she was there using the scripture to push us thru, showing us that the word of the Lord is not just a story book but a Manual for Life. A instruction manual, a how to for the Children of God. He wants you to follow him and he gives you all the answers too. The directions to being Christ like in my hands. We are passing it down to the hands of the children. Our little Scripture Warriors.

Thank you Jesus for not only Saving me but giving me directions to follow you.
